James Denby is a gritty northern every-man with a screen presence defined by deep, restrained stillness. James has appeared in Daisies in the Field and The Rounds, bringing a quiet intensity and lived-in truth to each role. His Bradford and Yorkshire roots give him a natural edge.
He trained with Derek Barr, Studio 13 (Meisner), Act Up North, and has developed a Stella Adler-inspired approach that anchors his pertormances in clear objectives and emotional honesty.
Alongside his acting work, James is a qualified as a carpenter/joiner, a chef, and is currently training across multiple martial arts disciplines including kickboxing, Bjj, grappling, JKD.
